Lucas Dornan has made a triumphant return to the sport

Lucas Dornan has made a triumphant return to the sport, winning his first event after a hiatus due to injuries and COVID-19 related tour closures. Dornan, the former UK long-distance champion, expressed that the sport has regained momentum with increased investments and visibility, prompting his decision to rejoin and test his abilities.

While on vacation, Dornan entered a local tournament to assess his current skill level. Despite using outdated equipment, he managed to achieve impressive results, hitting five shots over 400 yards and claiming the title with a club speed in the mid-140s. Encouraged by this success, he has re-entered the WLD tour and is gearing up to compete on the main stage again in the coming months.

Recognized as the founder of LDWS and a key figure in hosting tour events worldwide, Dornan’s return has been praised by 2-time world champion Joe Miller, who believes Dornan’s presence will attract more attention to the sport, ultimately benefitting the golfing community.
